Academic Professional Applied Cognitive Psychology

Course goals

After completion of this course, the student:

• has acquired professional presentation skills
• knows about the different possibilities in the professional and occupational field
• has acquired a scientific and professional integrity

Relation between assessment and objective
This course is evaluated via different activities and documents such as a reflection report on the internship, participating in workshops and field trips and giving both oral and poster presentations.

Content

The course consists of (1) a program that is organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences, i.e. an application training program, and (2) a program organized by the master Applied Cognitive Psychology. This latter program consists of a series of activities and assignments that are carefully tailored to the occupational field and career of an (applied) cognitive psychologist. Examples of activities are visits to different companies, interactive workshops and so-called "internship update days".
