The DaSCA Tutor: Why, who, what, and how?
Why?
why DaSCA students have a tutor
The DaSCA research master is an international program. Students can come from different disciplines, different universities, and different countries. Further, DaSCA is a challenging program with an above average study load. This student variety and study load sometimes require additional guidance. In such instances, it is convenient if there is one person to turn to. This person is the tutor.

What?
what the tutor can do
The tutor is meant to be a relatively easy approachable person in case of various questions or problems directly or indirectly related to the study. The tutor is more or less informed about study progress, everyone’s coping with the study, workload, satisfaction with the programme, et cetera.
How?
how the tutor can do it
The tutor has regular individual contact with the students. First – introductory – meetings will take place at the start of the program on the initiative of the tutor. Additional meetings can take place throughout the year on request of the student. Sometimes, the tutor invites you to meet when she thinks it may be useful. Preferably contact the tutor by email.
Our task as a tutor is mainly to listen, to give information, and to advice when needed. Further, we may refer you to other persons, places, or sources.
The tutor will keep a file on the students. However, the content of the meetings with the students will be confidential, unless they concern general matters (e.g., comments on the programme, suggestions).
