Internship

Course goals

The student can carry out an educational assignment in a substantively and methodically responsible way at an academic level and in the context of a real-life working environment to the satisfaction of a client or employer. The student can name his or her own qualities and preferences with regard to working in a place of employment such as the organisation where the internship took place.

Content

During the internship the student carries out an assignment that corresponds to the character and level of the work of an Educational Sciences graduate. Examples of this include course development work, making an inventory of shortfalls in competencies (resulting in policy recommendations), evaluating an educational programme, or supporting the implementation of educational-science related innovation. In addition, the internship offers the student the possibility to familiarise themselves with various  aspects of the work of an educational scientist, and to develop their own professional competences.
The students themselves are responsible for organising an internship position with adequate supervision (by an academic educational scientist graduate).
The internship involves a maximum of four days a week. This course is open to fulltime and parttime students.
