Content
This interdisciplinary course bridges law and education to explore the roots of complex conflicts and approaches to resolution. For example, imagine a community school facing tensions between students from different cultural backgrounds. How can legal frameworks and educational strategies come together to resolve these issues? Students will engage in a simulated conflict, practicing skills like negotiation and mediation, and learning how systems thinking can help untangle complex disputes. With an emphasis on intercultural dialogue, bias recognition, and inclusive solutions this course prepares students to address both local and global conflicts. Whether in a courtroom or a classroom, you will gain tools to foster understanding, resolve conflict, and create sustainable change across diverse contexts.
