Course goals

At the end of the course, students should have a profound understanding of:

• Able to apply this knowledge and analyse large datasets originating from high throughput

• experiments, databases or repositories.

• Able to present his/her results to a critical audience;

 
Able to work in interdisciplinary teams.

Content

Description of content

The best way to ‘learn’ bioinformatics is to do this in practice. In a project at one of the UBC affiliated research groups you will work on a bioinformatics research project together with an experienced bioinformatician. On the website of the UBC.uu.nl there is an overview of all participating groups, and the UBC will act as ‘project-broker’ between the student and these groups.

YES: Only in combination with the Bioinformatics Profile AND only when not opted for an 33 EC internship
