Content

In this course you will explore revolutionary changes and challenges reflected in and enacted by (post-)modernist works of Anglophone literature. Questions raised include: How do socio-political developments play out in twentieth-century literature? What new understandings of experience and existence emerge though modern literary forms? And in what ways do a text’s formal characteristics enhance its transgressiveness?
