Professional Competences Urban and Economic Geography

Course goals

On completing the course, students are able to:

• Discuss their gained competences and knowledge in geography and relate them to labour market oriented assignments.
• Evaluate their position among other disciplines.

Each of the modules will have their own objectives, to be described in the course manual.

Content

​Several modules are available. Each module will have its own objectives, content and assessment. During the first semester an overview of available modules will be published, with detailed information. Students will indicate which 2 modules they would like to take.
Alumni will involved in designing modules, and contribute to them.

Probable modules:

• Professional writing skills (in Dutch or English)
• Transferable skilss
• ‘Governance and policy advice in a multi-actor society’
• Labour Market Orientation day ‘Career perspectives’ (Month of Work – November)
