Course goals

You will:

-possess professional and academic skills, particularly in relation to the History of International Relations.
-be able to apply knowledge and insight in a way that demonstrates a professional approach in the work or profession.
-be able to communicate conclusions, as well as the underlying knowledge, grounds and considerations, to an audience composed of specialists or non-specialists.

Content

The Applied Research Lab offers students the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in practice within UU-based projects with external stakeholders, such as the Cold War Research Lab and the student led Think Tank GA!-History at Present.
The Lab, like an internship, serves as a bridge between your current life, as a student, and your life after graduation. Students will be given the opportunity to become acquainted with the world outside of the program, to show initiative and to try out what suits them. This endeavour will rely in large part on the student’s ability to be independent and proactive.
