Cultural History Tutorial A

Course goals

After completing the tutorials:

• You are aware of and are participating in the ongoing historiographical debate on a specific cultural-historical subject.
• You have extensive knowledge and mastery of the cultural-historical sources and methods discussed in the tutorial.
• You have acquired the habitus of a researcher and you are able to independently produce your graduation project.

Content

In these tutorials, the students enter the laboratory of their teacher. Lecturers choose a subject within their expertise and transfer their knowledge and skills to the students in a small-scale setting. The students gain in-depth knowledge of a cultural-historical subject and further sharpen their skills in the field of sources and methods. These tutorials represent the state of the art of cultural history research. Within the Thesis tutorial, students start working on their graduation project.
