Research design: Crafting Original Projects

Course goals

In the final block of Year 1, students utilize the skills they have developed throughout the first year of the program to craft and present a working draft of their thesis research proposal and provide feedback on the proposals of their peers. This ensures that they are prepared to begin the thesis in Year 2.

Content

In this course, students develop their research proposal for their thesis, which they present to their peers and the teacher for constructive feedback. They first write a draft proposal and then conclude the course with a reworked final version.
