Preparatory course yellow - family medicine, public Health, ENT, dermatology and ophthalmology

During the preparatory course yellow the students will be prepared for LINK yellow, the integrated clerkship of 12 weeks which contains family medicine, public Health, ENT, dermatology and ophthalmology.
 
The preparatory course yellow entails 6 weeks. During the first 5 weeks the students will be trained one week each on the 5 involved specialties, whereby for the clinical specialties frequent and urgent diseases, interventions, chronic diseases/loss of function will be covered and for the Public Health the focus will be with health inequalities, determinants of disease and target groups. Within these 5 weeks the integration between the involved specialties will be stressed by means of highlighting overlapping themes including therapy compliance and poly pharmacy. The first 5 weeks will be concluded with a digital test situated on the Monday of week 6. The remaining of the last week will be focused toward interprofessional education by means of a simulation. During the preparatory course additional education will be provided on medical technical skills (PLO MT) and communication (PLO CA) and subjects regarding academic development (AV), pharmacology and pharmacotherapy (F&FT) and quality, patient safety and medical leadership (KPML) will be integrated. The estimated contact hours during the preparatory course yellow are around 20 per week.
