Elective internship MA3

Options and study load
The elective period in master year 3 can be filled in with a choice of the following (combinations possible):
-          An extension of the general advanced internship
-          An extension of the scientific research period
-          A special advanced internship
-          An education training
-          A choice out of the elective internships on offer for master year 3
-          A clinical internship abroad
-          A choice out of the available offer of Master year 1-2 electives
A so-called combined internship may be conducted in master year 3. This internship accounts for 34 ECTS and consists of a scientific research period of 17 ECTS and a general or special advanced internship of 17 ECTS within the same discipline.

-          addiction medicine
-          educational training
Special advanced internships:
-          ENT surgery
-          Ophthalmology
-          Dermatology / venereology
-          Anesthesiology
-          Laboratory medicine / clinical chemistry
-          Intensive Care
-          First Aid Medicine (SEH)
-          Pathology
-          Medical microbiology
-          Nuclear medicine
-          Radiology
-          Radiotherapy
-          Social medicine: occupational health and insurance medicine
-          Social medicine: society and health care / general health care
-          Social medicine: society and health care / youth health care
-          Mental disabilities medical care
-          (Top)sport medicine
-          Clinical genetics
-          Neonatology

Please see the website of master year 3 for more information about specific elective internships. With regard to elective internships which have to be organized by the student, prof. dr. M.R. van Dijk and Dr. T.W. van Haeften or Dr. P. van der Sluijs (scientific internships) will act as coordinators/examiners. One of them needs to give approval and permission for the conduct of such an internship.
