Content
To provide theoretical and practical preparation for the Student Clinics.
- Learn about the structure of the Student Clinics
- To broaden insight into patient safety and quality of care.
Course format and weekly schedule
Practical, interactive lessons given in preparation for the Student Clinics. Methods and instruction procedures of the Student Clinics are outlined: Students are given a theoretical preparation in which they learn:
· to analyze and consider the past medical history of the outpatients
· to systematically take a medical history and perform a physical examination as appropriate for a specific specialism
· to integrate findings in order to formulate treatment/management plans
· to complete verbal and written correspondence with the referring physician
Additionally, there are extra interactive lectures which focus on patient safety and quality of care.
Place within the curriculum
The Student Clinic Preparation course takes place during week 10 of year 1 (calendar week 46)

- Blokboek Studentenpoliklinieken,
- Handboek Kwaliteit & Veiligheid
- Onderwijsmateriaal voor farmacotherapie via docent and website
