Objectives and Content
- To learn to conduct a psychiatric examination through patient interviews and discussion of those interviews in the group.
- To gain insight into the treatment of the psychiatric disorder.
- Learn how to report findings to colleagues
Work formats and weekly schedule
During a period of 5 weeks, each group has one half day per week allocated to the Student Outpatient Clinic, under supervision of staff members

The Student Outpatient Clinic Psychiatry takes place in year 2.

The relevant books for the Student Outpatient Clinic are referred to on the general textbook list. The DSM manual is online available (see textbook list).
Assessment
An assessment takes place during the five-week period regarding the professional behavior and attitude and the medical skills (interview technique) of the student.
