Research Internship II

Objectives and content

• In this phase, the student must have definitively chosen the department in which the  internship in the fourth year (Research Internship III, RI-III), will be conducted.
   
• A specific work plan is set up and written for the RI-III research project together with the prospective internship supervisor.
   
• The skills necessary for execution of the research project need to be acquired.
   
• Students in the SUMMA-tech track will conduct research in a medical technical field.

Work formats and weekly schedule
Five full time weeks are scheduled for writing the research proposal for Research Internship III research project. Detailed information on Research Internship II can be found on Brightspace.

Place within the curriculum
The course takes place in year 3 or 4. Registration for Research Internship II (RI-II) is only possible after successful completion of Research Internship I. Before official start with RI-II, the student has to complete a RI-II application form that needs approval of the SUMMA course coordinator.

Assessment
The designed work plan is presented for approval to the internship supervisor and the SUMMA course coordinator.
