Bachelor Thesis Celtic Languages and Culture

Course goals

Through the production a thesis, students demonstrate the ability to conduct independent, scientific research in an area of Celtic linguistics, literature or culture or in an area of Greek or Latin language and culture in the European tradition. In addition, students are able to communicate such research effectively in written form according to the scientific norms of the discipline.

Content

The thesis is an academic proof of ability in the area of Celtic Languages and Culture or in the area of Greek or Latin languages and cultures in the European tradition. The student shows him- or herself to be able to conduct research in an aspect of the discipline and to make judgments pertaining to that research in light of relevant scientific and societal discussion. The final product is a report of that research which meets the scientific requirement of the discipline. It must be accurate, verifiable and systematic. In producing the thesis, the student makes clear that he or she is able to present the results of the research in an effective manner.

In principle, the thesis takes the form of a report written in Dutch or English.
