Mathematics for AI

Course goals

1. Topics in mathematics that play a role in future studies within the AI bachelor program: in particular, properties of functions and relations, the principles of limits, differentiation, and integration, and some topics in linear algebra, particularly vectors, matrices, and systems of linear equations.
 

Content

N.B.: This course is EXCLUSIVELY available for students in the KI program, LAS-ers, and KI minors. 

The course contains three parts:
1. Foundations: proof techniques, functions, infinity.
2. Calculus: the theory of limits, differentiation and integration, partial derivatives, gradients.
3. Linear algebra: matrices and systems of linear equations and their interrelationship, vectors and vector spaces, determinants.
