Internship MA Applied Musicology

Course goals

The aim of the internship is to gain practical work experience and to reflect on professional practices under the supervision both of a staff member of the internship organization and the student's UU tutor.

Content

The internship allows the student to gain hands-on experience in practices of his/her choice within the musical infrastructure. Prior to the internship, students define their goals, intentions and research proposal via a workplan; during the internship, students engage in practical work and reflect upon this engagement (by means of logbooks); after the internship is completed, students reflect on their experience in a written report. This report includes the research report.

Additional information

Only open to students in the MA Aplied Musicology who have completed at least 25 EC of semester I. Other students only after approval.

Career orientation:
During the internship the student actively participates in the working field.

Course registration
The HUM Internship Office will register you for the Internship course. Before they can do that, you need to take a number of steps yourself. You can find these steps on the internship page of your programme. The fixed registration periods for regular courses do not apply to internships. On the internship page you can find when you should have registered.
