Music analysis and criticism

Course goals

• The student is able to read, understand and summarise music analyses appearing in the academic music history literature independently and ask critical questions about them.
• The student is able to approach musical works from various periods analytically on the basis of musicological literature and critically examine them on partial aspects.
• The student has knowledge of current analytical techniques for Western music and the terminology used.

- are an exchange student and meet the course’s entry requirements

In all other situations, you will be placed on a waiting list if you enroll in this course. For any remaining slots in the course, lots are drawn among the students on the waiting list.
