Course goals

After your internship you will have:

Knowledge of the jargon and processes typical of the internship organisation.
An understanding of the organisational structure, communication, operations, atmosphere and culture.
Learned to be open to feedback and incorporate it into your internship and internship report.
A professional work attitude, which is reflected in your commitment and motivation, independence, accuracy and in your cooperation with others.
An idea of the work and activities in your chosen professional field.
A larger network of contacts that can help you find a suitable job.
Learned how to apply academic knowledge, skills and insights in practice.
Better insight into and reflection on your own talents, capabilities and ambitions, as well as further development of opportunities and desires with the aim of profiling yourself more confidently and being able to look for a suitable job in a more focused way.

On your programme's internship page at students.uu.nl/en you will find all the information you need about doing an internship, supervision and registration.

Additional information

The GW Internship Office will register you for the Internship course. Before they can do that, you need to take a number of steps yourself. You can find these steps on the internship page of your programme. The fixed registration periods for regular courses do not apply to internships: if you are going to do an internship, you can register for it continuously - prior to the internship. On the internship page you can find when you should have registered.
