Course goals
The final project functions as a test of the MA student’s academic level at the end of the programme. The student shows that the student is able to plan and conduct research, and to report on the findings in an academic paper of high quality in the language of study, using an appropriate format and register.
Content
The final project tests the student’s exit level in the field of Intercultural Communication. The students shows they are able to conduct research on an aspect of ICC and to place their work within the context of earlier research and the public debate. The final product is a report of the student’s research that has to meet academic standards. The report must be detailed, verifiable and systematic. The students show they are able to present results effectively. Students wanting to qualify for the English stream should register for the English programme in ICC.Their final papers should be written in English and at least one of their supervisors should be in the English Department, monitoring the language specific requirements.
