Course goals

In this individual component students

• gain more insight in their field of study expanding their knowledge on a specific topic
• acquire relevant experience in research, teaching or project development practices partaking in a particular research project or educational setting
• develop (research) skills in an academic or educational setting

Content

Under the supervision of a lecturer/researcher:

• students individually conduct a literature review, design and carry out their own research project, or participate actively in a research project of a lecturer/researcher

or:

• students analyse a particular teaching practice based on relevant educational literature/theory, prepare a teaching activity and execute it in an educational setting

or:

• students participate in or set up another form of suitable project, e.g. in the area of research communications or event organising
