Course goals

In this individual component, students:

• gain more insight in their field of study expanding their knowledge on a specific topic
• acquire hands-on experience with research practices by partaking in a particular research project
• practice research, academic and communicative skills they have been equipped with during the RMA programme, which prepares them for carrying out their own research in the RMA thesis

Content

Under the supervision of a researcher from the Institute for Language Sciences students individually conduct a literature review, design and carry out their own research project, supervised by the researcher and potentially in the context of an existing research project of that researcher.

The specific details of the assignment will be determined at the start of this individual component.
