Bachelor Thesis Linguistics

Course goals

In the thesis students demonstrate their linguistic abilities: the ability to study an area of linguistics and to evaluate this in the light of a relevant theoretical and/or societal discussion and the ability to present the results of their findings in an effective way according to academic standards. The final product has to satisfy scientific requirements. It has to be precise, verifiable, and systematic. The thesis has the form of a written report and an oral presentation, either in Dutch or English.

The thesis is related to a course of Level 3 and is connected to a advanced subject cluster of the major Linguistics.

In preparation for your thesis you do the Capstone Course Linguistics in period 1 or 3. One of the aims of that course is to connect with a supervisor and write a research proposal for your thesis.

You need to enrol for the thesis in Osiris in a particular period.
