Capstone Course Linguistics: Research, Writing and Reflection

Course goals

The course has three broad goals:
1) to consolidate the knowledge and skills students have acquired in the BA Linguistics programme;
2) to prepare students to write their BA thesis through producing a proposal;
3) to help orient students to future (master and career) perspectives. 

Content

There will be weekly seminars in which students will be given guidance on:
1) assembling a portfolio of work in which they reflect on what they have learned in their BA programme and how this prepares them for their further career; and
2) producing a written thesis proposal, an obligatory preparatory step in the process of writing a BA thesis.

This course is only for students of the Linguistics BA.
