Learning goals. After completion of this component, the student is able to

• explain to his/her supervisor (in English) the research question(s) he/she is going to work on in the thesis project (research plan)
• place the research question(s) in the context of other research/literature
• explain to his/her supervisor (in English) the approach of the research plan and place this plan in the context of other methods/approaches to investigate the research question(s) at hand

Prerequisites. Students can only start with the research project when 45 EC of the mandatory courses or primary electives are completed.

Evaluation. The proposal will be assessed with a pass/fail result after submission of a written proposal to the first supervisor (of approximately two pages).
